Only the second Silver Proof issue of Australia’s highly sought after full-colour $2 series, we are delighted to present the Royal Australian Mint’s War Animals Remembrance 2024 $2 C Mintmark Silver Proof Coin!
Animals have served Australia at war since before Australia even existed as a nation! Whether it be in the heat of battle, providing companionship, enabling communication and transport, or saving lives, animals have served alongside Australian personnel from the Boer War to Afghanistan. Horses, pigeons, camels, dogs – as well as cats, donkeys, kangaroos, monkeys and even elephants! – animals have served us well during times of war. The War Animals Remembrance 2024 $2 C Mintmark Silver Proof Coin forms an eye-catching tribute to their service.
Providing a glorious contrast with the full-colour Purple Poppy motif, symbolising the sacrifice of animals at war, this coin is struck to Proof quality from 8.55g of 99.9% pure silver. Set in an official Royal Australian Mint case with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, the limited edition has been set at a mere 7,500.
Given the success of the first full-colour Silver Proof $2 – the 2023 $2 Vietnam War Silver Proof, sold out at speed and soaring in value – demand for this new coin will be overwhelming. With a sell-out expected, we must, in the interests of fairness, enforce a limit of one coin per household. Click add to cart now!
